Multi-Player Buzzer

Buzzer Beeta is an online multiplayer buzzer to enjoy playing quiz shows with students? Simply host a buzzer game and share the game code with your students to kick things off. Get ready to “Buzz it like it’s hot”!

  • Play with up to 200 players or teams.
  • Teams can type their answers after buzzing in. The answer form will disappear after an answer is submitted.
  • Timer Mode. Set a time limit so teams have to submit an answer within a certain time after buzzing in.
  • Lock Buzzers. You can choose to lock or unlock all players’ buzzers.
  • First to Buzz: When this feature is enabled, only the first person/team to buzz will be able to give an answer. When the feature is disabled, then all teams can buzz and submit an answer. 
  • Lock/Unlock Game Room: Choose to lock your game room which will stop new players from joining your game or unlock the game so new players can join.

You may use this tool to fit your needs according to the settings. Here’s how I use it:

I would prepare a list of questions to read to the class. For example, I could create many “3 hint Quiz” Questions.

I ask students to play in groups or in pairs.

I create a game room as I’m about to start the game and ask students to join my room by going to the game link and entering my room code.

I project my screen onto a television which manages all players and students are able to see who buzzes in and the answers on the television while managing their buzzers on their tablet PCs.

I set the game so only the first person who buzzes in is able to answer.

I usually set a time limit so students don’t buzz in and then try to think of the answer. It works faster this way.

The tool is designed so that all buzzers are locked after someone buzzes in so I usually have to unlock the buzzers for each question. I like this feature as well because the students like to press the buzzer unnecessarily.
